The sanctuary is approachable from Angul, Nayagarh or Boudh districts.
Satkosia can be approached from Chhamundia which is 30 km from Gania in Nayagarh distrct.
From Angul on NH 42 it is 30 km
From Daspalla- 30km
From Charichhak- 40 km
Tikarpara is 120 km from Dhenkanal and 58 km. (36 miles) from Angul on road which branches off the Cuttack-Sambalpur road at Tumuni 11 km.(7 miles) west of Angul. Angul which is 160 km from Bhubaneswar is an important road junction of the State connected by regular bus services from Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal,Sambalpur and Rourkela.

Entry Fee for Indian Rs.1/- per day. Overseas visitors - Rs. 5/- for first day & Rs. 2/- for each subsequent days.

Period of visit Year round but the best time to visit the sanctuary is winter or early summer months ( October to April)
