Pati-Sonapur beach  on the confluence of the river Bahuda and the Bay of Bengal,is located at a distance of 20 kms from Berhampur and 35 kms from Gopalpur. The enchanting beauty of this virgin beach is a treat to watch. In the later part of  18th  century it was a principal shipping centre of the Ichhapur province.At present the port is marked by the ruined columns and custom house of the bygone days.
